Students, if you are in need of additional funds and financial assistance, please complete this form to the best of your ability. You must complete this form for yourself and may not request funds on behalf of another student. The information you share will remain private and will only be shared with University staff who help oversee and administer the funds. Awards will be considered only for out-of-the-ordinary or special needs, are specifically limited to needs of the student, and may not be related to tuition, books, or course fees.
In order to maximize the availability of funding to as many students as possible, the application review will consider any past funds issued and give priority to students who have not previously received any funding. In some cases, funds are limited to a maximum cumulative award of $1,000 while enrolled at Sewanee; in these cases it is rare for the full $1,000 to be granted in a singular request. For some funds, grants are considered on a rolling basis, and fewer funds may be available at the end of each semester.
Application forms are reviewed within 5 business days of submission and students should hear back and receive funds within 10 business days. Should you need funds sooner than 10 business days or if you have any questions, please be sure to email us at
CAREteam@sewanee.edu.
Please be aware that some awards may affect your financial aid package; please consult with the Office of Financial Aid (
finaid@sewanee.edu).
You should also
review the resources available related to equity and opportunity which include funding, supplies, and other resources that would be helpful. You can also meet with a
Student Success and Career Readiness Coach to talk about resources on campus or to search for jobs on campus or in the community.
If your request is related to a disability, please contact Student Accessibility Services (SAS) at
sas@sewanee.edu for support and resources. You can learn more about the resources provided by SAS
here.
Someone will be in touch with you regarding the status of this application, or they will let you know if they need additional information.
